GameTap New Releases 06.25.09

We’ve got another Microsoft Game Studios release this week with Rise Of Nations. While it is often overshadowed by the Age Of Empires franchise, RON is a classic in its own right, blending RTS combat elements with the diplomacy, imperialism, civil engineering, and tech research of turn-based strategy game a la Civilization. Additionally, our free game this week is the Diablo-esque Sacred: Gold.

New Release For Subscription Service, Available 06.25.09:

Rise Of Nations- From out of the mists of prehistory, your tribe steps onto the world stage, eager to make their mark. But your people are surrounded on all sides by others equally willing to take the world for themselves. Lead your people through eight stages of history, turn your villages into metropolises and your stones into missiles, and dominate the world in Rise of Nations, an epic real time strategy game from Big Huge Games and Microsoft. Multiplayer support is provided by GameSpy.
