gamigo AG: Remco Westermann joins the Executive Board. New strategy formulated to enhance focus and quality; game updates for Last Chaos and Fiesta Online in December 2012.
Hamburg, 04th December, 2012 - gamigo AG changes its senior management: Remco Westermann is to become the chairman, while Patrick Streppel will continue to support him in the future as Member of the Executive Board responsible for Product Management. Rainer Markussen resigns as Member of the Executive Board in mutual agreement by the end of the year. "I look forward to running gamigo AG. With a top-quality portfolio of MMOG games and a superb team, gamigo AG is brilliantly positioned in the growing market of Online Games." says Remco Westermann, an expert in the field of Online and Mobile Entertainment and previous founder and chairman of, among others, Bob Mobile AG.
In co-operation with its new owner, Samarion S.E., who just recently took over gamigo AG from Axel Springer AG, the company has worked out a new strategy. gamigo AG has established new priorities and will now concentrate primarily on a smaller number of Massively Multiplayer Online Games (MMOGs) and support them more intensively. New additional games will only be launched when they fulfill high quality standards in order to significantly increase both their chance of success and market potential. In addition, gamigo AG has optimized its cost structure. "We expect a return to profitable growth in the first quarter of 2013 after implementing a refocus of the business." according to Remco Westermann.
There is already a lot of delightful news to report for the top games: The Online role playing classic, "Last Chaos", is getting a substantial update at the start of December 2012 titled "Tarian's Vault of Shadow". With this update the maximum level of the game will be raised by 10 levels to level 185 and a new character class will be introduced. There is also some good news to report about the Fantasy-MMORPG, „Fiesta Online“, in December 2012: one of the biggest expansions since the beginning of gaming operations is due with "Ascension to Adelia".
