20/08/12 – Gamers around the world have named NCsoft’s Guild Wars 2 as their favourite game of gamescom 2012 – as the winner of the annual IGN People’s Choice Award is announced.
The PC MMO was on the show floor at gamescom 2012 for the second year in a row. Guild Wars 2 was originally announced almost five and a half years ago – and gamers will finally get their hands on the ArenaNet developed title, which is released worldwide on Tuesday, 28 th August.
The single format title scooped a quarter of all votes in a list of 50 games displayed on the show floor in Cologne, picked by a global panel of IGN editors that were eligible for the IGN People’s Choice Award.
