Hand-drawn shoot-em-up

College-Ruled Universe is a side-scrolling shoot-em-up with RPG elements being developed for PC and Android systems.  The game uses cut-out notebook paper sketches to bring its worlds to life.  Players will be able to explore imaginative worlds and upgrade their ship in Campaign mode, or jump right into the action with Arcade mode!   The game is currently raising funds via Kickstarter.

The CRU campaign features two main gameplay segments:  Exploration and Flight.   In exploration, the player controls the ship's pilot.  They can find new missions, collect parts, and learn about the world.  There will be a number of hand-drawn NPCs to interact with.  When the player gets a mission, they will go into flight, pitting the player against a 'clan' of enemies for the given mission in an intricately animated environment.  Each mission will reward the player differently - new parts for their ship, points to upgrade their parts, or progress in the campaign.
