On top Ubisoft is revealing first information about new PvP and science system which will be launched 2013.

London, UK – November 23, 2012 - Ubisoft® and its renowned development studio Blue Byte® today revealed a series of new features coming to The Settlers® Online.  From November 22nd, every intrepid explorer walking the fertile lands of the hit strategy game will be able to dip their toes in the new “Evolvement of your Kingdom” campaign system, but that’s not all. To boost the game’s essential team spirit, new Guild quests are being added alongside the brand new Guild Coins resource to reward courageous adventurers.

The new Evolvement of your Kingdom campaign system and guild quests have been implemented with our community in mind. We listen very closely to their ideas for improvement and never stop working hard to deliver great quality and a better gameplay experience for all our players,” said Odile Limpach, Managing Director of Ubisoft Blue Byte.

With the new ‘Evolvement of your Kingdom’ campaign system, players will be able to embark on a series of almost 250 new primary and secondary quests available for Level 1 to Level 50 players and get to know new NPCs.

Player solidarity and cooperation is also being recognised, with new Guild quests, dedicated rewards, and a new resource (Guild Coins) to reward the valiant adventurers who fulfil their daily Guild quests. The new in-game currency can be spent on potions (Buffs), new adventures including Pirate Island, or new specialists such as the Master Geologist. Another new feature is the change that will allow guilds to be composed of a minimum of 10 players instead of the previous 25.

Besides all those new features, Blue Byte will continuously improve The Settlers® Online and is currently working on more content that will launch in 2013. Among those content is the highly anticipated Player versus Player system. PvP battles will happen on special islands where players can find precious resources to further expand their kingdom. The home island of each player will always be protected in order to avoid losing it. A new science system will also be introduced to players in 2013 allowing to specialize on specific aspects such as production and / or military.
