Ian Estes Wins First Ever National Mobile Gaming Championship

Just after midnight on Sunday, October 7 - in the midst of 48 die-hard mobile gaming competitors - Ian Estes sped seamlessly through each level of 'The Fast&The Furious: Fugitive' at the AT&T Plaza in Dallas, taking 1st place in the 2007 National Mobile Gaming Championship. Ian picked up $3,000 in cash, the MGC Championship Trophy, a one year membership to GameZnFlix as well owning the title of first ever Mobile Gaming Champion.

Over the course of the summer, more than 50 mobile gaming events took place in 20 cities across North America as a part of the Midnight Gaming Championship. Regional winners from Atlanta, Austin, Albuquerque, Charlotte, Dallas Ft. Worth, Detroit, Houston, Oklahoma City, Little Rock and Salt Lake City were flown to Dallas to compete in the Championship finals. With the winner announced, mobile gamers can finally get some sleep, before next year's tournaments get under way!

The masterminds behind the Midnight Gaming Championship, The Video Gamers League and Affinity Sports and Entertainment Marketing, set out to raise awareness and acceptance of gaming and make competitive gaming more accessible by offering tournaments in cities throughout North America by partnering with high profile brands like McDonalds, 1up, I-play, Head Play, Coca Cola, Ubisoft and Nintendo among many others.
