IGN readers name The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword their game of 2011

18/01/12 – Readers of the world’s largest games website IGN ( http://www.ign.com) have named The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword their game of 2011 in IGN’s annual “Best of” awards.

The long-awaited Nintendo Wii title was the resounding winner of the IGN People’s Choice Game of 2011 category in the “Best of” awards - beating Bethesda’s multi-format title, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim and Naughty Dog’s PS3 exclusive, Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The hotly contested category saw more than 30,000 gamers have their say on the best last year had to offer.

2.     The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (Microsoft Xbox 360, PC, Sony PlayStation 3)

5.     Portal 2 (Microsoft Xbox 360, PC, Sony PlayStation 3)

IGN’s team of Editors and writers in the US, UK and Australia named Valve’s puzzler, Portal 2 as their game of the year, stating that “no single game charmed, challenged and awed us like Portal 2 has.”
