Thursday 19 th September 2013 - Independent game developers Freekstorm are proud to announce that they will be showing their indie game Doctor Kvorak for the first time at Eurogamer Expo 2013.
Doctor Kvorak is an atmospheric single-player 3D adventure puzzle game for PC, Mac, Linux and Console. The game is designed to flummox players of all ages and also features a full map-editor and community map server.
“We are all incredibly excited to finally get a build of Doctor Kvorak out in people’s hands,” says Richard Bang, Game Designer at Freekstorm. “We are a family of indie developers and we first dreamed up the dastardly Doc three years ago for our short animated film “Doctor Kvorak Destroyer of Worlds” which we created for an international film festival. The project proved so successful that we all voted to continue the story in the form of a game. Three years later and here we are. Eurogamer Expo will be the ideal opportunity for us to show the world what one family can achieve if they decide to work together and make a game.”
In Doctor Kvorak the player follows Greeboo’s brave and fearless quest to rescue his comrades and save his world from certain destruction. Players will take control of three characters, each with their own special power, who must work together to traverse the Doctor’s mysterious ship full of dangerous traps and complex puzzles. But all is not what it seems….just exactly who is Doctor Kvorak, and what does he really want?
Doctor Kvorak will be available to play for the first time in the Rezzed Area at Eurogamer Expo September 26 th-29 th at Earls Court, London, UK. The final release of the game is due for PC, Mac and Console in Q4 of 2013.

Freekstorm is a family studio of British indie game developers, based in Norfolk, U.K. and founded by Richard and Lin Bang in 2010. After successfully creating a short animated film Doctor Kvorak Destroyer of Worlds for an international film festival in 2010, they realised that they were rather attached to their green reptilian friend and decided to continue his adventures in the form of a game. They have been working on Doctor Kvorak ever since, along with the help and support of their three talented kids who all play active roles in developing the game. In true indie-style, all aspects of the game are developed by the family in-house, including characters, assets, gameplay and full audio.
