BERLIN - September 26, 2011 - Infernum Productions AG today announced that Tobias Gerlinger and Markus Melching have joined the board of directors. Tobias will serve as the company’s CFO and Markus will serve as COO.
“Tobias brings both knowledge of strategic financial planning and valuable experience in building up several companies to Infernum, and Markus has a deep understanding of the organizational and technical requirements to be successful as an online game publisher,” said Andreas Weidenhaupt, Infernum´s CEO. “Our management team is a perfect combination of skill-sets. I look forward to working with both of them on making Infernum one of the top players in the free-to-play online games business.”
Tobias Gerlinger started his career in the software industry before he co-founded a corporate finance boutique in 1999. Following five years of international financial consulting he was asked to become the CEO of a biotech company he successfully led for seven years. Gerlinger had been an investor in the games industry for many years and founded an MMO publisher in the Asia-Pacific region which he recently sold to the Frogster group.
Markus Melching started his career in the games business in 2000 as the head of IT at Gamigo. As deputy CTO, he was instrumental in developing automated payroll systems. In 2005 he founded Linuworx, a special service provider for developing automated payroll systems for online companies. After one year he founded Yusho together with 2 partners, which became one of the leading German companies operating and billing systems for virtual worlds. After the merger of OnlineWelten and Yusho, Melching worked as COO at Frogster Online Gaming.
