InnoGames news

Hamburg, June 13, 2012. InnoGames, one of the leading developers and publishers of online games, announced today a new Mobile Business focus and a major expansion of their mobile staff. The company is proceeding with a dynamic growth of more than 80 new employees in 2012 – with a priority on international applicants.

“Cross-Platform Gaming is one of our strategic key goals for the future. That is why we are searching for 20 new employees just in the Hamburg area. We are focused on the development side, but we are also on looking for experts in  mobile marketing, user interface, producing and product management experts and more,” InnoGames co-founder Michael Zillmer explains. “Gamers desire continuous and platform-independent gaming fun with a high long term motivation and an over average user activity. That is why we believe that Cross-Platform Gaming makes perfect sense, especially for titles like Tribal Wars and Grepolis.”

According to current studies from Jupiter Research, the revenues of in-game items sold via smartphones are seen to increase from 2.1 billion USD in 2011 to 4.8 billion USD in 2016. InnoGames has already launched Tribal Wars beta versions for iOS and Android, and they are currently working on apps for Grepolis, and all titles currently in development will be designed for cross-platform from the very beginning. The apps will offer a complete feature set for tablets and Smartphones.

Next to mobile experts, InnoGames is also searching for applicants in classical software development and marketing. Mr Zillmer stated “Due to the sustainable and profitable growth in the last years,  as well as the successful start of our latest strategy game Forge of Empires, we have an excellent background for further growth in the upcoming months and years.”
