CAMBRIDGE, UK– 9 th JUNE 2011– Jagex Games Studio, the UK’s largest independent games developer and publisher, today announced that Phil White as joined the company as Vice President of 8Realms. White, who has extensive industry experience spanning two decades, has been appointed to oversee the development of 8Realms, Jagex’s new empire-building strategy game, which is currently operating in closed beta.

Prior to joining Jagex White worked for Perfect World Entertainment as the Director of Operations– Europe. Having previously worked for Electronic Arts, Codemasters and Persistent Worlds, White has overseen the launch of ten MMOG’s across Europe and North America and has supported the development and operations of a further nine MMOG’s and numerous PC and console titles.
