FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
TOKYO, Japan… Project Phoenix, the Japanese indie RPG being crowdfunded through Kickstarter, has surpassed yet another one of its stretch goals. In total, Project Phoenix has succeeded in raising more than $800,000 through both Kickstarter and Paypal with approximately 50 hours remaining in the Kickstarter campaign before the official funding period is over. This latest milestone entitles backers to an official Project Phoenix poster for those who ordered physical copies and a digital copy for those whose rewards include only the digital copy.
In addition to the milestone, Project Phoenix has forged a partnership with the Japanese figurine manufacturer Good Smile Company, known for being one of the largest manufacturers of games and anime figurines for franchises ranging from Touhou Project, to Attack on Titan, to Valkyria Chronicles. Together, Project Phoenix and Good Smile Company will create a 1/8 scale figurine of the Elven Pathfinder Sylrianah.
"We are extremely grateful for the passion, enthusiasm, and generosity of our backers," says Hiroaki Yura, Project Phoenix's producer and director. "Our fans have shown time after time again that they are excited by our mission to revive the JRPG genre. Furthermore, we're thankful that a reputable company like Good Smile has faith in our ability to succeed and we are excited to be working with them to bring one of our cherished characters to life!"
The new Sylrianah figurine can be obtained by pledging through the Project Phoenix Kickstarter through a $950 pledge tier or through Paypal after the end of the Kickstarter campaign.
With all its successes in securing a Playstation 4 and Playstation Vita release for Project Phoenix, the only way people can purchase such copies will be through the Playstation Store as of now. However, backers for the Playstation 4 and Vita can obtain a digital version of the rewards through a special "Treasure Hunter" tier that is priced at $120.
