El Segundo, Calif. - Apr. 19, 2011 - Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. today announced that Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 (PES 2011) is now available at a lower price point on the PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system from Microsoft.

"We at Konami would like to thank fans for their ongoing support of the Pro Evolution Soccer franchise by providing them the opportunity to enjoy the latest installment for less," said Shinji Hirano, President of Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc. "We also hope those fans who haven't played Pro Evolution Soccer take this opportunity to get into the game. The game also features UEFA Champions League™, and the Copa Santander Libertadores licenses to boast the most lifelike soccer experience to date."

PES 2011 saw the series undergo a huge move towards total control, and featured the most advanced raft of gameplay additions, control options, and animations in PES history - catering for both ardent PES players and newcomers alike. Central to its total freedom of play, PES 2011 introduces a power bar for each player that allows the user to determine the exact strength and placement of every pass and shot. Balls can be spread absolutely anywhere with utter precision, with long balls into space, short passes to feet and intricate one-twos allowing the player to dictate play and control the tempo of a match.

The game's freedom of play is also extended via new AI routines designed to place every move and decision in the user's hands. AI no longer intervenes and PES 2011 players now need to sense and react to threats; while passes will not automatically reach the nearest player and the days of making streaking runs through the centre of the park are over, as PES mirrors the real-life football.

The game's introduction of a real-time player market mechanism on Master League Online offers users a new level of depth and realism to their experience. Once people delve into this area, PES 2011 will offer a level of depth they have never experienced before.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 is rated E for everyone by the ESRB and is currently available in retail stores nationwide on the Nintendo 3DS™ handheld system and Wii™ for $39.99, PlayStation®3 computer entertainment system and Xbox 360® video game and entertainment system for $29.99, and PlayStation®2 for $19.99.
