Launching 6th December, Xbox LIVE Update Brings New Entertainment Experience to Console Owners

LONDON — 23 rd November, 2011 — On 6 th December, a brand new entertainment experience will debut on Xbox 360 through a significant Xbox LIVE service update, free to all console owners. The update will bring a newly designed user interface (dashboard), expanded voice control with Kinect, and the first group of new entertainment custom applications.

Console owners around the world will feel like they have a new Xbox. The new dashboard is built from the ground up to take full advantage of voice control. Users will be able to effortlessly navigate through their favourite entertainment on Xbox 360 using voice or gestures with Kinect for Xbox 360*.

Speaking of entertainment, starting on 6 th December and continuing on an ongoing basis through early 2012, a wealth of new content will be coming to Xbox 360. New, customised applications for television, movies, internet videos, sports and music will begin rolling out from world-leading providers in more than 20 countries.

Also, brand new personal and social features including Cloud Storage for Game Saves and LIVE Profile, Beacons and Facebook Sharing will launch with the 6 th December update, along with enhanced Family Settings.

From game lovers to movie buffs, music junkies and sports fans, even more of your favourite entertainment content will come together on Xbox LIVE starting 6 th December.
