“Deadly Association”: Forensic science at the service of criminal investigation.

Montreuil, June 5th, 2012. The French publisher Anuman Interactive announces the release of “Deadly Association”, a hidden objects game on PC, Mac, iOS and Android. The game is published on the Microids – Games for All label.

Anuman Interactive presents its “Deadly Association” video game, aimed at all fans of large-scale criminal investigations. In this interactive adventure based on an original storyline, players must put their investigation skills to the test.

Players take on the role of Chloe, a forensic police agent in charge of a crime case, and must investigate the murder of Nancy Boyle, found dead near her home. When the clues Chloe finds lead her to suspect the young woman's lover, the police interrogation finds itself seriously compromised. The man is dead. Players must rely on their investigative instincts to shed light on this crime.

The investigation unfolds through a series of hidden object sequences (players will have to put a ripped-up photograph back together, once they've found the different pieces hidden in the background, for example), and various mini-games (puzzles, sliding blocks, Match 3, tap-to-shoot and more).

The different clues and objects collected as the investigation progresses are automatically stored in an interactive inventory. Players can then use them when they need them to progress through the story. For example, fingerprint powder found in the forensics lab, then stored in the inventory, is essential for revealing fingerprints left at the crime scene. Paying attention to detail and mastering the game’s special functions is crucial in “Deadly Association”. In particular, parallax scrolling allows players to explore a scene from different angles. Certain objects that are hidden from view are revealed once players tilt their devices to one side or the other (on iPhone, iPad and Android tablets and telephones). On PC and Mac, players can move around the scene using the mouse.

Other features prove to be very useful for solving situations, such as the "Clues" function. However, this help function is limited. Players are restricted by a gauge that controls how the available clues are used. This gauge is recharged automatically, but this does not happen straight away.

However, it is possible to speed up the process thanks to mystery stars hidden in the game's different environments.

Finally, “Deadly Association" provides players with access to an "Extras" section in the main menu. Players can access mini-games and puzzles they have already solved in the main story and play them again whenever they wish.

"Deadly Association" is available June 5th, 2012 on AppStore and on all major download platforms in EFIGS (English, French, Italian, German and Spanish). An Android version is soon to be released.
