A Brief History
Alfred Lam began his game development career as all indie developers do: By giving assault weapons to Mario characters and calling it a day.
But in the year 2007, something incredible happened: Alfred made a game based on his own ideas. This game was called Logi-Gun, and it was about solving puzzles with some cool guns. He released this game on a forum post, where it was played by tens, if not elevens, of people. All was well.Four years and a university degree later, Alfred looked back on this game, and was shocked to realize that it was terrible. Saddened by the unfortunate quality of what was surely his first, only, and last original thought, he decided to make Logi-Gun again. Cleverly changing the title to “LogiGun” to ensure that no one would be the wiser, he began his work anew. The goal: Slightly less terrible.
Fast-forward to our present day, where Alfred’s ambitious dream of relative un-terribleness teeters on the cusp of fruition. Its name is LogiGun, and it has arrived.
LogiGun is a Portal-esque 2D puzzle-platformer where you get to use some neat guns to help you solve physics-based puzzles. It’s got grappling-hooks, bombs and ponytails. It’s an easy-going experience that lets players play at their own pace without fear of punishment. It was made by one developer, which is a pretty small number, you gotta admit.
