Marvelous AQL Appoints European Creative Producer and Marketing Director

London, United Kingdom - Marvelous AQL (, the Japanese publisher of acclaimed console titles like  Harvest Moon, No More Heroes and  Muramasa: Demon Blade, has added two senior managers to its expanding European team. Ben Andac has been named as the new Creative Producer, with Mike Hawkins taking the role of Marketing Director.

Ben Andac, who previously worked as the Senior Designer for Keystone Game Studio in Taiwan, will be heading up European game design and production activities. With over ten years of game development experience, Ben has worked as game designer and consultant for companies including Sony and SEGA. In the coming months, Marvelous AQL will launch a number of Japanese mobile, social, and console games for Western audiences, and Ben will lead the effort to provide world-class game experiences.  

“Marvelous AQL’s games are renowned for their quality, style, and soul. Collaborating with developers on new games in Japan and here in Europe to continue this tradition is incredibly exciting,” said Ben.

Mike Hawkins joins the team after serving as the Senior Marketing Manager for Europe for the hardcore social game developer Kabam. Mike will lead all partnership, distribution, and marketing activities in Europe to bring Marvelous AQL’s games to the widest possible audience.

Marvelous AQL has enjoyed critical and commercial success in Japan with mobile and browser games like  Logres of Swords and Sorcery and  Three Kingdoms, and is working on a wide variety of exciting new products for release in 2012-13.  The team will bring some of these titles to the European market, as well as working with European developers on new mobile titles.
