Brighton, June 29, 2011– Brighton-based publisher Lace Mamba Global today announces that it will distribute Memento Mori 2– Guardian of Immortality, a cinematic point&click adventure game, in the UK, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Scandinavia, the Benelux countries, South Africa and Iceland. The release date for these territories is planned for Q4 2011.
Memento Mori 2– its predecessor was lauded by the press in particular for its story, graphics and atmosphere– features three playable characters. Amongst them are Lara and Max, the protagonist duo from the first game. In Memento Mori 2, they are on their honeymoon in South Africa, when Lara receives a phone call from her boss at Interpol. He asks Lara for her assistance in the case of an art theft from a museum in Cape Town. While the police have already put the break-in on file, Lara and Max attempt to pick up the thief’s trail. In the course of a frantic chase, Max and the thief get caught up in a terrible car crash. The thief’s body is salvaged from the bottom of the steep coastal cliff, and Max is posted missing, presumed dead.
Totally devastated, Lara returns to Interpol headquarters in Lyon. In her next case she then keeps finding clues that suggest to her that Max is still alive…
Developer Centauri Production created its own new dedicated 3D engine for Memento Mori 2. With three playable characters over the course of the plot, Memento Mori 2, focussing on cinematic atmosphere, takes the players to more than 50 locations. In eight story chapters, the journey leads from Cape Town in South Africa via Lyon in France and Finland all the way to San Francisco’s Chinatown district.
Lace Mamba Global will ship Memento Mori 2– Guardian of Immortality, developed by Centauri Production and published by dtp entertainment, in its territories in Q4 2011.
