Press release: Friday Sept. 16th, 2011 - Munich, Germany
Munich based mobile social game developer - itsmy Games - launches its complete games catalogue, which includes more than 100 free to play social, casual and multiplayer games, as mobile web apps. itsmy uses the new standard HTML5 to package the games and thus make them ready for distribution as web apps. For gamers this has the big advantage that the browser games can be played partly offline, without the need for a permanent internet connection.
itsmy uses this new cross-platform standard as response to the requests and announcements from leading social networks and gaming portals which will offer their customers browser games, services and news as mobile web apps later this year. Mobile Games will be the important factor concerning number of downloads, customer acquisition and revenues in app stores and marketplaces, as we already know it from the traditional apps.
“We see that all giant Social Networks and App Stores do have still undisclosed but seemingly very distinct HTML5 web application strategies ready to launch. Whoever will launch web apps first, Google, Facebook, Apple or Microsoft, we have our blockbuster games ready for distribution,” says Antonio Vince Staybl, CEO and co-founder of itsmy games. He adds “We have a very simple goal to become the biggest casual gaming company in the mobile browser space.”
