Myth War II Online ( http://mw2.igg.com), the first MMORPG to feature an ATB battle system, recently introduced Shapeshifting potions to the game. Players can use these potions to transform their characters so they look like NPCs. The effect can also change a character’s attributes, allowing players to adapt to different combat situations. Intrigued? Read the following tips to learn more about this unique feature.
It’s easy to obtain Shapeshifting potions from monsters. Each time you do battle against NPC monsters you have a chance to receive a potion. Players can also buy them from NPCs that are usually found by the entrance to the Pet Lair.
Using the Shapeshifting potion changes your character’s form, attributes and resistance values. Players can choose from the many potions available to adopt the appearance and effects they desire. After using a potion you can still improve your abilities based on background attributes. Remember, different potions have different bonuses and buffs. Make sure you choose the right potion for your needs.
The Shapeshifting effect lasts for a set period while you are online, including both the appearance and ability bonus. If you log off from the game and log in again later, you will retain your shifted appearance if there is time remaining, but the additional bonus will be lost.
If the members of a team use the same type of Shapeshifting potion, the effect will increase in strength based on how many team members use it. So, if all players use a Centaur potion, the related effects will be better than if only one or two use it.
Beware of Scams
The MW2 team would like to warn players that some may be using these potions illegally to turn into an NPC in an attempt to trick you into handing over items or equipment. Please be careful if you need to give something to an NPC. Players should take a screenshot if they find someone attempting to cheat this way and immediately contact Live Support.
