New F1 Track Set For Online Debut Thanks To AT New Media!

AT New Media's License Acquisition Division has scored a licensing coup after securing the rights for the brand new Circuit of the Americas F1 track for Simraceway (Beta).

Simraceway is the online driving experience developed by Ignite Game Technologies that hosts live, multiplayer racing events. The new deal means that race fans will be able to test their mettle around the Texas track before it has even seen competitive action, as the circuit’s inaugural event will be the F1 American Grand Prix on November 18 th, a hugely anticipated event and the penultimate race of the season.

The new agreement adds Circuit of the Americas to the huge amount of interactive licensed content that AT New Media has secured for Simraceway. Other tracks on offer include the Indianapolis Motor Speedway – home of the Indy 500 - and virtual racers can choose from cars such as the McLaren MP4-27 (2012 F1 Car), Ford Mustang and the legendary Jaguar E-type. Ignite has worked with professional drivers such as two-time Le Mans winner Allan McNish to ensure that the actual performance of the cars and twists and turns of each track are closely replicated, allowing virtual racers to enjoy an online experience so realistic it matches that of real motor racing.

“We are very excited to have signed this new deal – taking part in a virtual race on any track is a fantastic experience but to drive on the Circuit of the Americas before Lewis Hamilton and co have even got to it really is a mouth watering prospect!” says Simon Kay of AT New Media. “This is all part of our ongoing project to assist in enhancing Simraceway with the racing world’s best interactive licensed content, be that tracks or cars, to create a truly unique online experience.”

AT New Media is focussed on brand licensing in to and out of the games and gaming market and continues to seek additional management and consulting offers for those looking at the sector.
