One Thumb Mobile Triples Office Space Continues Recruiting

Glasgow, UK. December 5 th 2012. Following a number of recent key appointments, mobile video games developer and publisher One Thumb Mobile is moving into a new, larger studio in central Glasgow, to provide company with room for significant new growth.

In recent weeks One Thumb Mobile has hired several experienced veterans from across the games and interactive industry. These include:

·         Paul Simon, who worked in senior design roles on titles such as Runescape and Lord of the Rings Online, has become Lead Game Designer.

·         Dave Allsop, an artist who has worked with companies such as Blizzard Entertainment and Wizards of the Coast, was appointed Concept Artist;

·         Viktor Sághy, a veteran of Most Wanted Entertainment and Eidos in Hungary, is the company’s new Art Director.

The company’s ongoing expansion has necessitated the move into a larger studio, situated in the very heart of Glasgow city centre. This new space provides One Thumb Mobile with the ability to expand up to three times its current size of 14 employees.

The company is actively recruiting for a wide range of roles on its latest project, Celtic Heroes.

Set in a medieval world based heavily on Celtic mythology, Celtic Heroes is a fully 3D massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) designed for Apple iOS smartphones and tablets.

Having built up a huge global audience, One Thumb Mobile now plans to take Celtic Heroes onto a number of new platforms, including Android devices, making it available to the widest possible global audience.

Richard Hasinski, the founder and Managing Director of One Thumb Mobile, said, “The growth of the mobile app markets and the worldwide audience for massively multiplayer games has created an incredible new opportunity for us. We are taking Celtic Heroes into entirely new territory, in terms of content, in terms of quality and the platforms upon which it is available. To do this we are growing our team significantly. The new studio space gives us the opportunity to do just that.”

“We are looking for skilled and experienced programmers, artists, project managers and designers with a passion for massively multiplayer online role playing games, a desire to break new ground and the ability to take the game in exciting new directions. We've already made several key appointments and we hope to make more in the coming weeks.”
