AN FRANCISCO– July 29th, 2008 - OneBigGame ( www.OneBigGame.org), the non-profit games publisher founded with a philanthropic vision, is calling for games industry  people to get on their bikes and join its first annual OneBigBikeRide.  Taking place from 5-12th September 2009 in California the ride is one of a number of fund and profile-raising events being organized by the publisher.

Martin de Ronde, founder and Chairman of OneBigGame.org commented,“We’ve already had a great response to the ride with sign-ups from industry journalists, developers and publiishers. It’s a great way for us to raise additional funds, spread the word about OBG and get a little fitter.”

The OneBigBikeRide route will start in the breathtakingly beautiful Yosemite National Park, wind through the Napa Valley (stopping off for a little educational wine tasting) before crossing The Golden Gate Bridge to finish in San Francisco .

Alison Beasley, Advisory Board member of OBG and OneBigBikeRide Co-ordinator added,“The ride is open to anyone in the industry.  From the keen cyclists to those who haven’t been on a bike for years– this is a great chance to ride through some stunning scenery with some fabulous industry people, raising funds for children’s charities in the process.”

About OneBigGame

OneBigGame aims to raise funds to help solve problems afflicting children around the world. The nature of these problems can be diverse, but the kind of initiatives OBG supports will always revolve around a structural improvement in children’s lives, expanding their opportunities in life.

Being a global organization and supported by a global industry and community, OBG will primarily support global organizations. OneBigGame may also support local or country specific children’s charity organizations, likely put forward by OBG benefactors and contributors.

Initially, OneBigGame will operate purely as a non-profit organization and not as a charity itself: OneBigGame will funnel the net funds it generates directly towards other charitable organizations directly active in the field of supporting children.
