Pitbull Studio Announces Midlands Studio and Further Expansion

One of the UK’s leading independent games developers, Pitbull Studio, today unveiled its third studio: Pitbull Midlands, located close to Leamington Spa and Birmingham, rich areas of development talent. This new studio will be centred on highly technical programming staff, who will be working on developing Unreal Engine 4 and working on other Epic Games projects. This announcement is made just a few months after they open their second development studio in Guildford.

Pitbull Studio is planning to grow further over the coming months and looking for more programming resources for their Sunderland and Guildford studios, as well as their new studio in the Midlands. There seems to be no stopping these guys with current expectations being that they’ll reach 50 employees before the end of 2013.

The company is renowned for its people focused and sensible work culture and their expert knowledge of the Unreal Engine. Robert Troughton, founder and MD ofPitbull Studio, said, “the decision to open a third games studio in the Midlands was an easy one - this area has a strong history of games development and we already employ great programmers in the area. As a company we offer all employees challenging and rewarding careers, working on the cutting edge of technology.”

Pitbull Studio has most notably been working with US-based Epic Games to develop Unreal Engine 4. The previous generation of this engine was used in many of the top selling games of recent years including Gears of War, Infinity Blade, Mass Effect and the Batman Arkham series. The studio is already signed up to work on the next-generation platforms from Sony (Playstation 4) and Microsoft (Xbox One), as well as all the existing platforms.
