In-Game 'Days of the Dead' Zombie Event Gives Fans the Chance to Get All-New 'Tricks' for Slaying Zombies

Cary, NC - October 27, 2009 - Fallen Earth, the self-titled massively multiplayer online game (MMO) developed by FALLEN EARTH, LLC, today announced the winners of their second annual post-apocalyptic Halloween Costume Contest. The winners will be contacted via email and will receive a Fallen Earth prize pack consisting of a Fallen Earth t-shirt, messenger bag and poster autographed by the dev team. Additionally, to kick-off the week leading up to All Hallows' Eve, Fallen Earth is hosting a special in-game event-'Days of the Dead.' Having already kicked-off this past Friday, the week-long event provides gamers the opportunity to slay zombies in order to receive special weapons including a signature shotgun, sawed-off shotgun and a cricket bat. The event is open to current and new players as FALLEN EARTH, LLC, is offering a 15-day trial to those who sign up to assist in the zombie killing. Visit the Fallen Earth website for details on this unique event.

"We wanted to give fans some fun, seasonal activities," said Jessica Orr, marketing manager for Fallen Earth. "Halloween is a perfect time to give our players a chance to be creative as they make costumes and knock-off a population of zombies."

Fallen Earth combines the best of both worlds by giving players first-person shooter combat with the depth and character advancement of a role-playing game. Taking place in the Grand Canyon in 2156 as mankind teeters on the edge of extinction, players are thrust into a decaying society and must choose to rise above the hardships or embrace the surrounding destruction. The game features more than 1,000 square kilometers of landscape to explore and conquer, 70 towns, six distinct factions, a classless advancement system and a unique crafting feature to create over 95 percent of in-game items. Each player will make the choice to re-build the human race and rise above the destruction or embrace the chaos and descend further into the oblivion.

Fans can also stay up to date with all the news from Fallen Earth on the Facebook and Twitter pages.
