Pop 'n' Spawn: have fun getting outsmarted in this indie online strategy board game

Big Round Eyes, a duo of independent game developers from Canada, is launching today an online strategy board game “Pop 'n' Spawn”. The free-to-play browser game combines amusing and captivating gameplay with the challenge and depth inspired by classic strategy games like chess and Go.

In Pop 'n' Spawn you match wits with your opponent over a scramble for territory on the game board. Territory is captured by strategically placing mushrooms that have the capacity to spawn endless copies of themselves. But there's a catch! Mushrooms can only duplicate in specific directions. By cleverly picking the right direction and location to grow, you manipulate your mushrooms to claim territory, expand in greater numbers and ultimately gobble up your adversary. And try doing all that before your opponent does; it's all about who's going to outsmart the other!

About Big Round Eyes

Big Round Eyes is a duo of game developers and incurable gamers, assisted by a pair of rare breed intelligent cats, all based in Ottawa, Canada. One day, while doing contract work making web games for other companies, we decided that we should dedicate our skills in creating a game of our own. A game that not only entertains but also enriches the mind; that's easy enough for anyone to learn and deep enough to provide hours of challenge and exploration. And with that decision we started Pop 'n' Spawn, a game we hope will only be the beginning of our journey.
