Laguna Hills, Calif. – October 25, 2012 – Red 5 Studios™ today announced a new web series for gamers and independent filmmakers, The Continuum. Launching as part of the new Stage 5 TV entertainment network, The Continuum offers talented independent filmmakers a platform to bring creative ideas to life through sponsorship and support. Gamers can look forward to a variety of entertaining short indie films extending across fantasy, sci-fi, animation and more each week at the official Stage 5 TV channel: http://www.youtube.com/stage5
“We’re launching Stage 5 as a place for gamers to find unique, quality programming that’s been created specifically for them,” said Mark Kern, CEO of Red 5. “To make that happen, we’re helping indie filmmakers get their work out there in a way that wasn’t previously possible. This platform is going to bring some amazing projects to life and deliver the next generation of storytelling.”
Kicking off The Continuum are two high-quality Halloween-themed short films, “The Green Ruby Pumpkin” ( http://youtu.be/AndFWrZT43g) and “So Pretty” ( http://youtu.be/GDaXTvsORoA). “The Green Ruby Pumpkin” is a visual treat created by FX artists Miguel Ortega and Tran Ma that tells a surreal tale of magic and wonder on Halloween night. “So Pretty” is a vampire fright-fest created by Al Laugher, who offers a chilling return to form for the legend. Both are now live at Stage 5 TV.
The Continuum will continue to feature independent filmmakers and new content creators who have unique and exciting ideas that span fantasy, sci-fi, comedy, drama, animation, live-action and everything in between. Passionate directors who have an epic video game-related idea for a short film and would like to be considered for sponsorship can request a submission form at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Viewers can follow Stage 5 TV ( http://www.youtube.com/stage5) for more quality programming celebrating the interests, culture and stories of gamers and geeks everywhere. New series will continue to be released this year along with additional installments of The Continuum.
