• Third S4 League season "Blade" now launched
• Fresh look, enhanced features, and new content
Munich, Germany, March 22, 2012. The third season of S4 League is good to go. Europe's most successful free-to-play third-person shooter (TPS) goes back to the roots in Season 3 – Blade. S4 League: Season 3 – Blade offers new gameplay features, a fantastic anime look, and even more content, as well as fulfilling a number of special requests from users. The action-packed battle experience is now available at www.s4league.com.
Colorful anime design and increased sportiness
S4 League veterans will find the visual style of Blade reminiscent of the anime shooter's colorful beginnings. Following the sinister atmosphere of the two previous seasons, the graphic design of S4 League: Season 3 – Blade returns to a bright and colorful look. The sports aspect is also more in focus this time round, not least thanks to several fitness-style outfits.
Focusing on swordfights
As requested by many users, S4 League now places particular emphasis on swordfights . Season 3 – Blade not only introduces new weapons such as "Katana" or "Sigma Blade", but also features maps that have been specially tailored to the needs of melee fighters. The first new arena, "Sword Match of Eight", allows users to engage in action-packed S4 League matches in an open battle area for the very first time.
Two-level item upgrade
The new upgrade system in two stages adds even more depth to S4 League. Players use the familiar eSper Chip system to enhance their weapons and equipment with additional status bonuses such as larger magazines or improved armor stats. Add to that the new Enchant system, which enables players to apply special abilities to their weapons and items. Thus, items can be improved up to level 20. Every new level is accompanied by 80 random item effects such as damage bonuses, a higher yield of experience points, etc..
There will be further innovations after the launch of S4 League: Season 3 – Blade. Every two weeks, players of S4 League will receive a number of new weapons, maps focusing on swordfights, costumes, pets, and skills.
