London, November 24th, 2011 - Saffron Digital, the leading global media delivery platform company, is delighted to announce that it has been voted the Best Video Service Provider in Mobile Entertainment’s awards for 2011. This is the third year running that Saffron Digital has won this award.

The award was given to mark the successful launch of Media Hub for Samsung, and also the cloud-based movie service HTC Watch, both created by Saffron Digital. HTC Watch launched the world’s first HDMI-out capability enabling users to watch device-purchased content on their TV. The service has so far been deployed in 15 countries since launch earlier this year. HTC Watch also has the world’s first mobile 3D movie store.

Saffron’s Chief Operating Officer Jason Keane was at the awards ceremony at the Royal Gardens Hotel in Kensington last night to collect the award.

“I was extremely proud to collect the award on behalf of everyone at Saffron Digital,” he says. “They’re a superbly talented and hard-working bunch of individuals who work amazingly well together. That we have not only achieved technological excellence and exemplary client service, but sustained it over three years to the extent that it is recognised in these highly respected awards, is an incredible achievement.”
