Brighton, UK, 20th August 2012: Eurogamer Network, Europe's leading independent games media specialist, is pleased to announce Simon Maxwell is joining the company as Group Publishing Director.
Previously Group Publishing Director of Entertainment (games and film) and a member of the board at Future Publishing, Simon has also worked at IPC Media and Cabal Communications working on some of the UK's biggest weekly and male lifestyle brands.
During his nine years at Future Publishing he managed leading brands in technology, sports, film and games markets including T3, Official Manchester United, Total Film, SFX, CVG, Games Radar, Edge, PC Gamer and the official titles for Nintendo, Microsoft and Sony, as well the Golden Joysticks. As GPD and Board member he was responsible for the Games and Film portfolios globally across its US and Australian offices and drove its transition to becoming a more digitally focussed business.
Maxwell joins Eurogamer on October 1st to help continue the impressive growth of the business, taking responsibility for a range of the company’s properties and services.
