Star Hammer Tactics now available on Windows

Perth, Australia, 16 February 2012 – The Windows version of Black Lab Games's acclaimed strategy title Star Hammer Tactics is now available from digital download stores Desura and Indie City. Previously released as a PSN ® Mini and on the Apple iPad, the Windows version (along with Apple iPad version) has been completely rewritten and enhanced to provide a superior playing experience.

The first in a planned series of games set in the Star Hammer universe, players are tasked with defeating an invading alien force – the Nautilids - to save their home world, Novus. Gameplay takes the form of turn-based battles between fleets of space ships.

Star Hammer Tactics brings a new approach to the turn-based genre with battles designed for short burst game sessions and are primarily fought in close, ship-to-ship combat. The combat system is streamlined but brings depth and strategy via careful positioning of ships, a limited number of powerful ranged missiles and a system that allows players to allocate power between defensive and offensive capabilities of each ship.
