Super Happy Fun Fun Starts the iPhone New Year with Star*Burst

Austin, TX - January 4, 2010

Super Happy Fun Fun, creators of the smash iPhone hit Big Buck Hunter Pro, today announced the release of their latest touch-screen title, Star*Burst for iPhone and iPod touch. Star*Burst is a new generation of match-three puzzle gameplay, designed by the creator of popular 90s arcade game KLAX. With Star*Burst, Super Happy Fun Fun serves up a clever combination of engaging, fast-paced action, classic puzzle heritage and fresh social features—complete with dazzling 3D graphics, animations and effects.

Star*Burst is an iPhone puzzle gamer’s best friend—easy to learn, yet addictively challenging. Players must catch streams of brightly colored gems as they flow down the conveyor deck, by strategically flipping gems, bombs and timers to form Bursts of three or more. Creating combos and special patterns will earn bonus points and Star*Burst Fantasy Cards to share with friends.

“Our team has a unique background in classic arcade gaming, and we enjoy leveraging this expertise to reinvigorate quality classic games for new audiences on the iPhone,” said Mark Stephen Pierce, CEO Super Happy Fun Fun.“Star*Burst draws inspiration from my work on KLAX to meet the demand for arcade puzzle gameplay in the same way Big Buck Hunter Pro fulfilled a need in the arcade shooter genre to achieve App Store success.”

With 100 levels of fast-paced addicting gameplay, Star*Burst is intuitive, pick-up-and-play puzzle fun for all. And for a little friendly competition, Star*Burst offers social network interactivity via Facebook Connect. From their iPhone or iPod Touch, players can show off Fantasy Cards and compare high scores with friends on Facebook.

Star*Burst is available now on the App Store for an introductory price of $1.99. Go get your Burst on: itunes.apple.com/us/app/star-burst.
