Berlin, Germany - 5 th June, 2012 - Sybil Danning's Ruger©™ was to see a Q3 2012 (Halloween) release. An unnamed stateside publisher recently withdrew support, leaving the game in disarray, and its producers' analyst Les Thomas and actress & sex symbol Sybil Danning questioning the trajectory of the game.
"I'm not concerned about the game being made. We have other publishers interested. But when you get in hectic licensing negotiations and transgressions - it's often easier to walk away than launch a legal assault. Those resources are better spent in getting the game out in a timely matter. We have surprises, that will be revealed shortly," said Les Thomas, the game's Executive Producer.
The meeting will take place at a curious time, but also reinforces Ms. Danning's team's dedication to create a very German-centric game specifically modeled for the European Union and Asia. The meeting was held in a sporty meeting room of the Axel Hotel Berlin highlighting the eccentric nature of the meet.
While drawing international ire to widespread support in 2011, the team realises the pockets of interest for the most complete marketing plan. The game will remain a German-only affair during its Beta testing period Q4 2012.
"German [beta testing] will give us an idea of what works, and how we can best approach world markets," said a private investor on the condition of anonymity.
Last year's E3 Expo had critic's calling Sybil Danning's Ruger©™ "the weirdest announcement at E3", by Euro news source 'Rock, Paper, Shotgun'. Deciding on no representatives at this year's E3 Expo, Sybil Danning's Ruger©™ is taking a strategic gamble.
"Obviously we know our gathering doesn't have the far-reaching effects of meeting with publishers at E3 Expo, but are acutely aware of our business model," said Mr. Thomas.
"Germany it is!" exclaimed Ms. Danning.
Meanwhile, Sybil Danning is poised for a continued video game world presence through modeling agreement struck with Dzmitry Samal. The Belarusian, Paris-based, fashion designer has entered into a promotional deal with Sybil Danning. Samal Design's new line of eyewear deals with society's obsession with early digital technology. He has created an eyewear line reminiscent of early videogames, especially Tetris. You can view his line of eyewear for purchase at http://www.dzmitrysamal.com/.
