The new Volkswagen Polo celebrates its premiere on the iPhone

- for immediate publication–

Hamburg/Wolfsburg, Germany, 04 March 2009– On 03 March 2009, the new Volkswagen Polo was premiered at the Geneva Motor Show. The 3D racing game Volkswagen Polo Challenge was developed by FISHLABS, the world’s leading developer and publisher of 3D mobile games, and will be available for download free of charge in the Apple AppStore beginning in mid-March.

VW Polo Challenge provides pure racing game fun with the new Polo on eight detailed, animated tracks for the iPhone and iPod Touch. The difficulty increases with every course and only those who drive a best time will be rewarded with a new track. The realistic 4-point driving physics and the innovative controls– steering is done by tilting the iPhone or iPod Touch– are impressive, and the Hamburg-based newcomer band Feinkost from the Volkswagen Sound Foundation provide a cool score.

VW Polo Challenge offers the perfect combination of sporty driving fun, attractive design, and quality. Those who want to test drive the new Polo in real life, and not just virtually, can use the game menu to navigate to the nearest VW dealer via GPS and Google Maps.

‘With this game, Volkswagen is breaking new ground and innovatively and consistently implementing the concept of integrated communication in all media. At the same time, we are addressing a young target group,’ says Volkswagen CRM and Internetmarketing.‘FISHLABS have more than lived up to their excellent reputation as a studio for first-class 3D mobile games and have supported VW with their extensive know-how. The new Polo is outstandingly positioned.’

‘VW has really touched the zeitgeist with the 3D racing game for the new Polo. Everyone is talking about the iPhone and iPod Touch and games are by far the most popular application for these groundbreaking platforms,’ explains Michael Schade, CEO of FISHLABS Entertainment GmbH.‘With the help of our large fan community of umpteen million mobile gamers, the new VW Polo will spread like wildfire on the iPhone and iPod Touch.’
