London, UK– 12 th April 2011 - TeePee Games has announced a strategic partnership with Turner Broadcasting Europe, home to a range of successful entertainment brands (Cartoon Network, TNT, Adult Swim) and famous kids’ characters (Ben10, Scooby Doo, Powerpuff Girls). Turner will back the development of TeePee Games’ new games discovery platform.
The venture signals Turner Broadcasting Europe’s continuing ambition to engage audiences across new platforms. In particular, the partnership will increase content across a range of gaming formats including social, mobile and Flash.
Currently in open beta , TeePee Games is set to become the primary destination to find and play games across social networks, smart phones and the web. Its use of an innovative discovery engine will allow consumers to find, filter and store games from a multitude of sources such as Facebook, Flash game portals and Android handsets. A number of social features have been included to encourage consumers to use the discovery platform as part of their daily online activities– the community element will aid social interaction, while rewards and loyalty points have been implemented to incentivise game play.
For Turner Europe, the move is the second European digital venture within months, following on from its recent investment in Starlounge, Europe’s leading online provider of celebrity news.
