Brighton, England, October 1, 2012: VG247, Britain’s first and only 24-hour games news site, passed a major traffic milestone in September by recording 1,105,782 unique visitors.
The site served 3,078,455 page views in the same month.
The metrics are internal, taken from Google Analytics.
Said editor Patrick Garratt: “When we launched in 2008, 1 million monthly unique users was our target. Achieving our primary goal has been the result of hard work from an incredible team, the members of which have nothing but my utmost respect and thanks.
“But we’d be nothing without our readers, and I can’t express my gratitude to our audience enough. If the crowd engaging with us on a daily basis were any more ‘core,’ I think we’d have a lava issue.”
VG247 launched in February 2008, and provides round-the-clock games news reporting from editors in the UK, America, Australia and France.
