Assassin's Creed: Revelations

Assassin's Creed has fast become one of the leading action game IPs to emerge in recent years.

Since the original Creed arrived in 2007 the franchise has gone on to sell over 30m copies worldwide, with the latest three titles arriving annually. Comic books, Facebook games, novels and short films have all been released under the brand.

Revelations is the fourth full Creed game and the final chapter in protagonist Ezio Auditore de Firenze’s trilogy, which began in Assassin’s Creed II and continued in last year’s Brotherhood.

This time Ezio must follow the footsteps of Altair – the first game’s lead character – which sees him travel to the Ottoman Empire to crush the Templar threat and retrieve five ancient seals. Altair returns as a playable character. The title retains the series’ core third-person sandbox gameplay with stealth-like assassinations and adds several new features.

Sharp and deadly

Ezio is more dangerous than ever. Players can wield a new hook blade to zipline between rooftops or pull in enemies for a closer attack. They can also craft up to 300 different bombs to blow up groups of guards.

Revelations refines the series’ online multiplayer. On top of new characters, maps and modes, players can customise their assassin from head to toe to make their online rogue stand out from the crowd. Even the character’s taunts and weapons can be changed.

Like before, players are assigned targets to kill, but must stay alert for those hunting them. Users can blend into crowds and pretend to be a harmless passer-by to sneak up on their foes.

Thanks to Assassin’s Creed’s reputation, high sales and massive fanbase, expect Revelations to become yet another major hit.
