Dinosaurs 3D is the latest entry in Ubisoft’s Combat of Giants series, which challenges players to nurture and train vicious monsters.
There are 18 breeds of dinos to choose from, which can be customised and upgraded as they progress. These creatures can then be put up against other dinosaurs in order to establish players as the dominant predator.
In between bouts, gamers can explore the Jurassic world – brought to life in 3D – and even try to avoid extinction by surviving four natural disasters such as volcanic eruptions.
“The Combat of Giants series has been extremely popular with the previous releases of Dinosaurs, Dragons and Mutant Insects on DS, and also the launch of Dinosaurs onto the Wii,” says brand manager Rachael Grant.
“We’ve had success with the sales and now we are translating the product on 3DS, which we hope will be as successful as our previous Dinosaurs releases.”
Ubisoft will be promoting the game in newspapers, kids magazines and women’s publications through ads, editorial and competitions. COG is also being showcased as part of Nintendo’s 3DS tour.
