Since Jewel Quest Expeditions marked the series DS debut in 2007, it has garnered a dedicted fanbase addicted to the puzzles and stories of the franchise.
The fourth instalment in the Jewel Quest series sets players on a quest across Europe with series regular Rupert Pack. He’s the Indiana Jones of the puzzle gaming world and, as the name suggests, Heritage focuses on the unravelling of a mysterious family history with new family portraits uncovered as players decipher jewel puzzles across 175 boards in the game.
"Jewel Quest is one of the best selling and most addictive match-three game brands and always allows new or inexperienced players to progress through the game initially before drawing them in with its engaging storyline and addictive play modes,” says Richard Barclay, head of production, marketing and sales for Licensed 4U.
Jewel Quest IV features 35 background scenes from around the world with 12 new locations and two new modes to swap jewels in. The Swaps mode challenges gamers by limiting the amount of moves they have to turn every square gold whilst the Limited Jewels mode provides a set number of jewels to do the job.
Fans will appreciate the new Expert mode, activated after the initial mystery is solved, providing double the amount of gametime. The title should also appeal to those new to the game as now, for those struggling on a tricky board, Jewel Quest allows players the option to give themselves more time to complete tougher challenges.
