Having already got over 30m people dancing, the Just Dance franchise has also won around an 80 per cent share of the dance games market.
Looking to win that elusive 20 per cent, the third entry in the series is now avaliable not only on Wii, but all motion consoles as the series jumps onto PlayStation Move and Xbox 360 Kinect.
There’s something for everyone, with 49 tracks from different artists and genres including Katy Perry’s ‘California Gurls’ and Cee Lo Green’s ‘Forget You’. Once players have danced their way through the game’s setlist, more tracks are available to download online.
Alongside the solo and duet modes, up to four players can now trip the light fantastic together and perform routines that feature individual dance moves for each member of the quartet.
Just Dance 3 comes with a few Kinect-exclusive modes. The Just Create mode allows players to develop their own routines, record them and upload them online to share with friends.
Shout Out lets players sing songs in a bid to get extra points for a higher score or to recouperate points lost by having two left feet.Other modes that return include Classic, Duet, Medley, Simon Says and an enhanced Just Sweat feature with more workout plans for those who want to shake their tail feathers into shape.
With an individual difficulty setting allowing both the Ann Widdicombes and Michael Jacksons of the world to hit the dance floor with confidence, Just Dance 3 looks set to continue the phenomenal success of the franchise, getting more people to swap their controllers for dance shoes than ever before.
Ubisoft brand manager Rachael Grant explains Just Dance’s move from Wii to PS3 and 360:?“Bringing the Just Dance experience to new platforms was always about keeping the core values of the brand and making sure that the game still maintained its accessibility and brought people together to dance.
“We want to keep the uniqueness of Just Dance, and now the new technology of Xbox 360 Kinect and PlayStation Move has enabled us to translate this experience to other platforms.”

A multi-million pound TV campaign will see ads appear during X Factor. Online Just Dance 3 ads will run on MSN, Last.fm, YouTube and on the ITV Player around X Factor programmes.
Ubisoft is partnering with popular make-up brand Miss Sporty in all 880 Superdrug stores with Just Dance 3 displays targeting young girls who form a part of the game’s target audience.

The California Dreams Tour
Ubisoft will be sponsoring Katy Perry’s ‘California Dreams’ tour which runs from October 12th to November 8th with 17 dates around the UK and Ireland. A disco bus will appear at select towns.
