Madagascar 3: Europe's Most Wanted

The Madagascar penguins will be smiling and waving once more this October in Namco’s video game tie-in, which challenges players to bring a struggling circus to life.

The game has two modes: Story and Circus. The former sees players navigate levels set across Europe. Each character has their own special trait that help the others navigate obstacles successfully. For example, Gloria can swim and dive into water and Melman can destroy things with just a sneeze.

In Circus mode, fans take on the role of Madagascar heroes as the penguins instruct them on how to perform shows across the continent and win over crowds with their enthralling acts. This translates to a wide range of circus-style mini-games, varying from tightrope walking to jumping through fire.

New characters from the upcoming film including Stefano the sea lion and Gia the jaguar are also included, as well as old friends King Julian and the chimps Phil and Mason.

Both modes cater for up to two players, making this a great title for kids to play with their friends or family. Namco Bandai is heavily supporting this title around the launch of the film on October 19th. A 20-second trailer will screen before the film, reaching 2.5m admissions.

The publisher is also taking the game on a two-week sampling tour, estimating a footfall of 800,000 shoppers on its specially-made stand. There will also be outdoor ads and a demo stand at the Madagascar 3 media screening.
