May's Mysteries: The Secret of Dragonville

DS OWNERS love their puzzle adventure games: just look at the success of Professor Layton.

But while many puzzle game fans are happy to find hidden objects, identify matching symbols and navigate mazes, it’s a bonus to do so as part of a twisting tale of mystery and adventure.

Mastertronic follows this style in its latest DS release, May’s Mysteries: The Secret of Dragonville. The game follows the adventures of a young girl as she tackles hundreds of brain teasers in order to discover the secrets of a strange village.

The game is packed with puzzles for players to solve. They will be presented with over 270 mini-games, 230 logic conundrums, 25 hidden object scenarios and 13 rhythm action sections – plenty for DS owners to master.

Much of the story is told through animated cutscenes, while the rest unfolds as players meet the game’s cast of colourful characters. Mastertronic claims the main adventure will take over 25 hours to complete, so gamers can expect plenty of value from May’s Mysteries.

Given the popularity of DS puzzle games, retailers can be sure that The Secret of Dragonville will appeal to handheld gamers and puzzle fans of all ages.

“Puzzle adventures, hidden object games and rhythm action titles make for some of the most popular handheld games but never before has a game offered all three – and so much more,” says Mastertronic product director Neil McKenna.

“The Secret of Dragonville is an incredible piece of software which will captivate all who play. We think May could become the poster child for puzzle adventures, and we can’t wait for DS owners to fall in love with a new heroine this August.”
