Ratchet and Clank: All 4 One

The odd couple return in a title that focuses on four player co-op. Billy Langsworthy checks it out.

After establishing a strong fanbase on the PS2 from 2002 with its first four titles, Ratchet and Clank made a successful move to the PS3 in 2007 with the Future trilogy. It is PlayStation’s third biggest franchise, selling tens of millions of units worldwide with an average Metacritic score of 84.

All 4 One presents a radical introduction to the franchise with four-player co-op gameplay.

“This provides a strong level of convenience for not just our Ratchet and Clank fanbase but also the platform fan,” says Sony’s kids and family product manager John Aikins.

After the latest evil scheme of Dr Nefarious goes wrong, he finds himself bound to Ratchet, Clank and Qwark in a machine. Players must work together to escape.

Ads for the game will run on kids websites such as Nickelodeon and on TV, targeting viewers of Cartoon Network and the Disney network.

Those who pre-order the title from HMV will receive a Sheepinator Morph in-game weapon.
