Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom

Since the early ‘90s The Settlers series has amassed a devoted following on PC for its addictive real-time strategy gameplay.

Now Focus Multimedia is bringing last year’s The Settlers 7 back to retail in a new SKU with an affordable SRP of £10.20.

Players can take part in the game’s single-player campaign, skirmishes and four-player multiplayer modes, as well as customise their own levels. The aim is to build a kingdom – from a tiny village to a colossal empire. To do this, gamers can favour either military power, scientific power or develop trade routes.

In the aforementioned skirmish mode, PC owners compete against computer-controlled armies as they wage war with them. These can be played at the user’s own pace, saved and returned to later on, allowing for a more casual, pick-up-and-play gaming experience.

The multiplayer mode lets users compete with others across the world and, with each win, increase their standing on the leaderboards.

“The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom demonstrates the dominance of the PC when it comes to strategy games,” says Focus Multimedia’s PR and marketing manager Alan Wild.

“You simply don't get this quality and depth of strategy gaming on any other format.

“The Settlers is also an established brand. Its prequel, The Settlers: Rise of an Empire, continues to be a huge success, achieving superb results across retail. And The Settlers 7: Paths to a Kingdom is without doubt one of the greatest must-have games on PC for gamers and strategy fans everywhere.”
