Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012

From cardio boxing to gym workouts and yoga, Your Shape: Fitness Evolved featured a variety of workouts for keep-fit fanatics.

And as one of the first fitness games for Kinect, it performed well in the All Formats charts. Now Ubisoft is providing the sequel with a host of new features in a bid to get all the game’s players to burn 1bn calories between them by the end of 2012.

Your Shape: Fitness Evolved 2012 features over 90 hours of activities including bootcamp, traditional gym workouts, cardio boxing, dancing and a host of mini-games. The title promises a personalised keep-fit experience with achieveable goals.

For the first time Your Shape includes floor-tracking technology, which means users can perform push-ups, sit-ups and crunches detectable by Microsoft’s Kinect motion accessory. The feedback system has been revamped so users will be told if they are doing something wrong, with better voiceover statements explaining how to perform workouts correctly.

As players work up a sweat, a raft of visual effects transform the on-screen world. Thanks to the new Run the World mode, users can see themselves virtually running across New York, Paris or London.

Expect this release to perform well over the post-Christmas period when consumers will be looking to work off all those mince pies.
