My Client, a developer of well-known console and PC games, is looking for a Senior Mission/Level Designer to join their team in creating a AAA open world action game which is yet unannounced, you’ll also be working on one of their current AAA games. The team is moderately sized which will give you great opportunities to influence the end product while at the same time requiring you to push the boundaries of your discipline when needed.


As a Senior Mission/Level Designer, you’ll be responsible for both creating amazing locations in the game world, and scripting the experiences the player will have in them. In practice, this means:

Designing, writing and scripting engaging missions and narrative flows. All while closely working with the Game Director and your Lead Designer
Building settings from the ground up using buildings, roads, props and terrain whilst working with the art team and world designers
Placing all the enemies and gameplay props necessary to pull off your vision of the experience
Making adjustments based on feedback and thoroughly debugging your work until it’s ready to make its way into the hands of millions of players


Experience as a mission/level designer on a AAA title
Experience building open world games as well as having a passion for the genre
Is passionate about the art and theory of level design as well as strong knowledge of game design fundamentals
Experience in other design fields (narrative design, game design, AI design etc.) will be a great advantage
Scripting experience/knowledge (Python, LUA or equal) is beneficial

The successful candidates will receive a competitive salary dependant on their skills and experience.
