Many things have changed over the years as the gaming industry – and the company – has expanded immensely, but we are still driven by the same passion for developing, publishing, and distributing the world’s best games.
EA tech provides EA game teams with a common set of supported technology that can be leveraged to make great games. We are now looking for a Physics Software Engineer who can demonstrate a balance of technical skills, physics domain expertise and the ability to work effectively and remotely with EA game teams and drive people internally to deliver results.
Key responsibilities for the Software Engineer will include;
- Drive internal EA Tech communications
- Provide leadership within EA tech team
- Minimise risks associated with technology development and adoption
-Work with Development Managers to deliver to plan
-Monitor and review progress, revising and updating plans to ensure delivery
-Coach EA Tech engineers and provide performance feedback
The Physics Software Engineer will have significant experience in a similar Software Engineer role and must have top tier technical skills combined with fantastic interpersonal and leadership skills and a proactive approach.
In addition strong C++, low-level programming and debugging as well as a deep understanding of mechanics, maths, numerical methods, game platform hardware and compiler awareness is essential. Game physics implementations, Agile & Lean development processes and project management experience are highly desirable.
