An established UK studio is seeking a skilled and experienced Audio Programmer to be a key contributor on an unannounced title.
The ideal candidate is someone who is passionate about games (and game development) and has experience engineering and working with modern audio systems and middleware.
The role will initially focus on working with the Audio Department to implement their vision for the game’s sound in the context of an existing codebase. It will then focus on implementing additional features and helping to ensure performance and quality requirements are met.

•Work with the Audio Department and Technical Director to implement runtime audio ambitions.
•Technical design, implementation and integration of audio features required by the game design.
•Work with the Audio department to help implement audio pipelines, tools and processes.
•Work with the Audio department in order to ensure sound quality realises their vision.
•Be a major stakeholder in the area of audios system performance.
Key Success Criteria:
•The audio system’s features and pipeline are of high enough quality to support both the game design and the Audio department’s ambitions.
•Audio system performance is adequate throughout the game’s development.
•Worked on at least 1 AAA title as an audio programmer on the current generation (XBox 360, PC, PS3).
•Proven audio programming experience.
•Ability to write new audio systems as well as maintain and restructure existing ones.
•Knowledge of DSP programming.
•Knowledge of Unreal Engine.
•Knowledge of WWise.
•Fluent in C++.
•Knowledge of current generation audio engines and techniques.
•Interested in developments in audio research topics such as physically based sound synthesis, acoustic propagation models.
•Excellent communication skills.
•Proven ability to work effectively with content creators to improve their workflows.
•A passion for audio development.
