Global Business Partnership Manager
OPM's client is a leading Free to Play online games publisher. Their European headquarters is based in Ireland. They look for talented team players with diverse backgrounds and a drive for success! We are now seeking a Global Business Partnership Manager to join their established team.
You will be responsible for new business opportunities for user acquisition and value-added services for the games published on their online games portal. The role will cover a broad spectrum of activities including defining, locating, developing, negotiating, and closing business opportunities to increase the distribution and promotion of my client’s platform and games in the Americas and Europe. You will also work closely with the respective Producers and Product Managers and colleagues in the marketing division (e.g. PR, SEM/SEO).
Defining and executing the new business partnership strategy for the portfolio of free to play games games released in the Americas and Europe
Build and develop successful business partnerships to increase the distribution and promotion, in particular revenue share and co-promotional projects
Identify potential business deals, contacting potential partners; exploring opportunities
Evaluate potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, opportunity requirements, acquisition potential, and commercial aspects; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending solutions
Develop negotiating strategies, examine risks and rewards; estimate partners' needs and goals
Close new business deals by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations
Win new relationships, building contacts with companies with large online audiences who will benefit from our games for their websites
Support partners with ideas and information to optimize performance of the campaigns
Liaise with marketers and producers in the creation of marketing assets for the partnerships; with territory marketing to leverage their advertising and local partnership activities
Monitor interactive entertainment business trends and competitors, identifying other opportunities and risks, and making recommendations to drive business growth
Evaluate the local competitive landscape and performance of existing products and partnerships to map out an expansion strategy appropriate to these markets.
Effectively monitor business performance by reporting the key performance metrics
Bachelor's degree in business or marketing (or equivalent)
Successful and extensive background in business development and/or partnership management with accessory, hardware manufacturing and online entertainment service providers
Must be able to engage and motivate a wide audience, including marketers, operational managers and top management
Experience in negotiating contracts
Demonstrated ability to build relationships in a multi-cultural environment
Well organized, self-motivated and able to prioritize and accomplish tasks with minimal supervision
Strong analytical and creative skills, and has a positive attitude to dealing with people
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and handle a high-pressure environment.
Microsoft Office knowledge essential; must be competent at spread sheet management
Experience working in the games or new media industries (or similar fast-paced environments).
Knowledge of the MMOs and/or Free-to-Play online games.
Knowledge and experience of web 2.0 / social media
Established network of partners the Americas and DACH
Multi-lingual a plus, particularly fluency in German
