Excellent opportunity for a Test Engineer in Development to work for an Industry powerhouse. This is a chance not to be missed.

As a Test Engineer in Development you will be responsible for ensuring testing and quality assurance practises are integrated into and throughout the entire development life-cycle to mitigate product risks.

Create and execute effective and efficient test automation scripts that are (where appropriate) maintainable and reusable.
Develop efficient defect reporting methods and tools to facilitate rapid, accurate defect removal
Act as key advocate for quality assurance and testing practises within development teams
Conduct gap analysis across all development disciplines to identify where testing activity (manual and automated) will provide the greatest return
Identify and report defects in executed code
Defect root cause analysis and review to pin point possible resolutions and facilitate debugging
Confirmation and regression testing
Conduct static testing of requirements, design, functional specifications to prevent code defects
Capture and share good/best practises for the role and apply lessons learned
Assist in the definition of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for the role and metrics to illustrate the return on investment (ROI)
Creation of dynamic test strategies to ensure areas of risk and complexity are adequately covered by automated and manual tests
Work with tools developers and provide inputs to enhance and mature existing tools
Assist and/or lead the R&D of new testing tools
Conduct black box manual testing where necessary
Work closely with coders to ensure early design and implementation of debug capabilities and tools/automation hooks
Continuously improve and adapt to meet the testing needs of the team, the project to mitigate risks and drive efficiency
Liaise with FPQA ahead of system testing to assist with test planning and risk mitigation strategies
Assist with the ongoing development of the menu of services based on experience and information gathering
